How do you pamper your lips?

Let’s be honest, how many of us really make lip treatments a priority? I know I didn’t until the weather starting turning frigid and they actually became a problem.  My lips were so dang dry and raggedy from me biting at them that I had no choice but to do something about it! I was buying every chapstick in the drugstore but they were just quick fixes, and not long term solutions.  So basically I whipped up a scrub, bought a pricey lip salve, made it a part of my skincare routine and I’m happy to say my lips have been renewed!

Brown Sugar Lip Scrub:

1 Tbsp Brown Sugar

1/2 Tsp Shea Butter

1/2 Tsp Almond or Coconut Oil

3 Drop Sweet Orange Essential Oil (optional)

You could obviously buy a lip scrub but I love making my own! I have found that using brown sugar instead of white makes for a softer scrub, which is what I needed since I would be using this on my face. The Shea butter and Almond oil make this scrub super moisturizing and soothing!

This step is important because you need to start treatment on a fresh canvas of skin. Exfoliating with a moisturizing scrub will help anything you put on after to really penetrate your lips and therefore work more effectively.

Next I slather my lips with a good amount of Bite Beauty Agave Lip Mask.

Packed with plenty of beneficial oils like Shea, Jojoba, and Olive, this stuff is a game changer! I, unfortunately, will probably never be able to use drugstore chapstick again. It is insanely healing and makes a difference immediately. It is a little pricey but a little goes a long way and the result is worth it!

I recommend doing this process before bed as a part of your nighttime routine and I promise you’ll wake up to smooth lips! I wear this throughout the day as well, but you will find that you won’t feel the need to constantly add product because your lips will stay moisturized.

If dry lips have been a problem for you this season, try this and thank me later.
