I’ve been meaning to try the Urban Decay NAKED Skin Weightless Concealer for a pretty long time but am just getting around to it. I’ve been alternating between MAC Mineralize Concealer and NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer for a good six months and wasn’t totally in love with either, but was just hanging on for no particular reason. Really just in a concealer rut with no motivation to take a chance on another, until walking past the Urban Decay NAKED Weightless Concealer on a random stroll through Sephora.
Trying this product really made me consider, what makes a good concealer? Coverage? Consistency? Application? It’s honestly all of those things and the UD NAKED Concealer really surpassed my expectations for all of those qualities.
I have large, deep set eyes so I have natural shadows that make my eye area look pretty dark, so coverage and brightness is important to me. You would never know my struggle using this product because it does a great job covering that area. The consistency is creamy and very blendable for it to be so highly pigmented, which also makes for less creasing which is a huge plus in my book.
I always set my concealer with Laura Mercier Secret Brightening Powder which is has never done me wrong. The combination of these two products leaves me with a smooth and even under eye that actually has me excited about my foundation routine again.
My only con about the concealer is that it has a pretty short range of colors. There are only about three shades that I would barely consider to be brown girl friendly, and they are the darkest shades. I like to use concealer for blemishes as well but because the range of shades is limited, I could only use this under my eye.
